Calendar

Dinner meetings are held the last Wednesday of the month from September to June (except November and December) at Fort Mason Officers' Club, Franklin and Bay Streets, San Francisco, unless noted otherwise. Members and guests gather at 5:30 for no-host cocktails, and dinner is served at 6:30. Remaining meeting dates for 1996 are September 25 and October 30. IN 1997, meeting dates are January 29, February 26, March 26, April 30, May 28, and June 25. The Bookbuilders West Book Show is scheduled for Thursday, December 5, at the San Francisco Airport Marriott Hotel, 1800 Bayshore Highway, Burlingame.

San Francisco Bay Area Book Festival

The San Francisco Bay Area Book Council is sponsoring its 7th Annual Book Festival. Bookbuilders West, a Patron of the Book Festival, invites you to attend a weekend celebrating the Bay Area book community. If you love to read them as well as "build" them, you'll love this bustling book party. It's a family outing; it's a date; it's an excursion for the curious! This year's festival is November 2 and 3, 10 am to 6 pm at the Concourse Exhibition Center, 8th and Brannan Streets, San Francisco. Admission is free for children 1 and under, $2 (daily) for adults. Volunteers are needed for the Bookbuilders West booth. Pick a buddy and be part of the BBW booth for just two fast-flying hours. Pick a day_Saturday or Sunday.
