Lindsay Sablosky has joined the Book
Production Group at Chronicle Books as Book Production Director,
the position formerly held by Donna Linden. Lindsay worked at
Chronicle Books for 12 years in the production and editorial

Nancy Tabor, formerly of Backbeat
Books, has joined Pearson Benjamin Cummings as a Production

Taking a Break!
Casimira (Casi) Kostecki is taking a break from her Bookbuilders
West responsibilities to focus on her new career outside the
publishing industry. Casi has been an indispensable member of
the West Coast publishing community for many years, first working
in Southern California and serving as President of Southern
California Bookbuilders. After moving to Northern California
she took over the Crash Course in 1985 and has directed the
training of hundreds (thousands?) of publishing production novices
every year since. Casi was Seminar Chair for PubForum '87, President
of BBW 1990-1991, active on the Newsletter Committee since 1985
and chairing it in recent years. Casi received the Bookbuilders
West Distinguished Service Award in 1992. Casi, your many contributions
to the organization are greatly appreciated, and you will be
missed. Best wishes as you begin your newest adventure!
