George R. Christensen, 1949-2008

Our dear friend and colleague George Christensen died suddenly of natural causes on Sunday, August 24th at his home in McFarland, Wisconsin. George was employed by Webcrafters, Inc. of Madison WI for 41 years, moving his family to Pleasanton, CA from 1985 to 1999 as Webcrafter's West Coast representative. George was an active member of the West Coast publishing community and served on the Bookbuilders West Board of Directors for 14 years beginning in 1992. George is survived by a large family including his wife of 39 years, Kay, children Jenifer and Bjorn, and 4 grandchildren. George is remembered as a people person who focused on building strong relationships in both his professional and personal life, and as a generous giver time, compassion, or anything anyone ever asked for or needed.
