About Bookbuilders West

BOOKBUILDERS WEST (BBW) is an educational and professional resource for members of the Western publishing community, providing the opportunity for participants to meet and share experiences at monthly dinner meetings and various educational and social activities.

A wide variety of education programs are designed to inform members about advances in materials and processes, investigate technological progress, discuss aesthetic concerns, and find solutions to problems associated with publishing and production. Events are held on the last Wednesday of the month, with the exception of December, and are designed to appeal to a diverse membership and include a variety of speakers and activities. Nonmembers are cordially invited to attend all events.

BBW fosters publishing excellence and public recognition through its annual Book Show, and encourages education and development through its annual Crash Course in book production basics and its annual scholarship which is open to qualified graphic arts students in Western colleges.

A Board of Directors provides the formal framework of BBW with new members elected each year to a three-year term. Board members are actively involved in the numerous committees that carry out the all-volunteer mission of BBW.
